design theory
Design is at the heart of everything we do, from engineering products in an entirely different way to building a creative community.

Founder and designer Joshua Karl wanted to find a better, simpler way of making beautiful things. His patent-pending design concept cuts out wasteful manufacturing and processes such as stitching and gluing. Our materials are laser-cut locally and assembled by hand—the patterns are engineered to fold and weave together. By simplifying production, we're embracing artisan craftsmanship.

This singular design theory launched a whole new world of possibilities. Because we’re a design-led brand, we’re constantly evolving our ideas, responding to our customers, and finding smarter ways to work together as a team.

creative community
Our Hudson Valley roots are strong, but our partnerships extend from the laser shop next door where we cut our patterns to the family-owned tannery in Pennsylvania where we get our high-quality leather. We’re invested in people who share our ideology, passion, and commitment to the very best.
